Cyan Eclipse Academic Witness — Retraction & Integrity Stream

Retractions, corrections, expressions of concern, and withdrawals — sealed per asserting source, from Crossref's update records and the Retraction Watch database, PubMed, and the preprint servers. Where sources disagree, the disagreement itself is the record.

What it holds

Like every listing in this line: collected from the source, sealed at collection, cite-checkable against the sealed record — and served only as far as each record's license allows.

A retraction is the moment a work the world has already cited stops being reliable — and today that moment is announced, if at all, in a notice nobody propagates. This stream collects the integrity signals the record itself publishes: publisher-deposited update records in Crossref, the Retraction Watch database distributed by Crossref, PubMed's status fields, open-access notices, and preprint withdrawal notices.

Every status is served with the source that asserted it. When one source records a retraction and another is silent, both facts are served — the disagreement is itself a sealed record, never smoothed away. The reasons a curator or publisher gives are their own words, sealed as proof; what this stream serves is the status fact.

A change or status record names its asserting source and the date it was observed. Records are served as the sealed facts they are — never as verdicts on a work or a researcher.
